Bernice and Paul offer counselling via audio and video Skype

What is skype?

Skype lets you make free calls over the internet to anyone else who also has the service. Skype offers free software that lets you talk via the internet to another Skype user, anywhere in the world, for free.

Why we use it.

The advantage of telephone therapy is that both parties can have a visual as well as oral contact which is the closest to a face to face situation. It is also free for the user unlike the phone. Skype also means you can have therapy or supervision anywhere in the world which is particularly useful for those people who travel regularly or live abroad for part of the year. It also makes it possible for people who are not resident in the UK to have regular sessions with Paul and Bernice.

What do I need?

You will need a computer or laptop with speakers and a microphone or a skype phone (see below). A webcam is needed if you want to see who you are speaking to. Most laptops have speakers and microphones built in, so only the free skype software is needed. Download skype for free by clicking here

After downloading and installing the Skype software, the application can be opened by choosing it from the Programs menu or from the Windows System tray. If you have never used Skype before, you will be guided through the simple registration process where you will choose your Skype username. This is the username which other Skype users can use to contact you so you may want to try and make it something memorable.

Once you have this set up, you may contact Bernice or Paul who will add you to their contact list
